My Story

I grew up moving between places and cultures, the daughter of a military family. Born in Honolulu, Hawai'i, my formative years were spent in Vicenza, Italy, and Hanau, Germany, where I learned early what it meant to adapt, rebuild, and begin again.

My father, First Sergeant Thurston Lee “Stone” Williams, a two-tour Vietnam War veteran and Purple Heart recipient (among many other awards), and my mother, Sergeant First Class Lynette Jackson, modeled a life of service and perseverance. In a military family, resilience is not an abstract concept; it is something you learn by living it.

Living abroad and navigating new environments often meant stepping into unfamiliar spaces without a clear roadmap. There were many moments in my life when I knew how to begin something but did not yet understand how to finish it. Like many people, I sometimes felt that something essential was missing. However, through those experiences, I gradually came to understand that progress, whether personal, professional, or financial, depends on a foundation that is more than money or opportunity alone.

Over time, I came to recognize five essential elements that grounded me and allowed me to move forward with greater clarity: mental health, physical health, spiritual health, a strong support system, and consistent effort. These principles became the framework I now describe as the Five Pillars of Financial Consciousness to Realize Wealth.

These pillars are part of the foundation that has allowed me to persevere, to rebuild when circumstances changed, and to continue moving forward when the path ahead was uncertain. They have helped me grow through military life, public service, higher education, and the many transitions that come with navigating new environments and responsibilities.

Today, as a U.S. Army brat, a U.S. Navy veteran, a U.S. Air Force mom, former IRS Revenue Officer, Educator, and MSIOP graduate with distinction, I continue to carry those lessons into my work. Through JuneteenthSC LLC, I seek to share the insights that helped me find stability and direction so that others can cultivate financial consciousness, build sustainable wealth, and strengthen their families and communities.

For me, the Five Pillars are the grounding principles that made my resilience possible.

I was recruited to support the Microsoft Office certification program during a period of significant cadet disengagement. Prior to my arrival, fewer than five of the seventy-eight cadets enrolled in the program had attempted a Microsoft Office certification exam.

Cadet morale was low due to leadership turnover, inconsistent instructional continuity, and negative perceptions of the program.

To address these challenges, I implemented the Kotter-led change initiative operationalized through ADKAR reinforcement mechanisms and positive organizational behavior principles.

I collaborated with leadership, counselors, and faculty members to create a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment. I implemented a recognition and incentive program that rewarded effort, progress, and certification success while fostering healthy competition and personal accountability among the cadets.

Between April 26 and June 3, 2026, certification participation increased from fewer than 7% of cadets attempting certification to nearly 36% of cadets earning at least one industry-recognized certification in a six-week period, and two of them becoming Microsoft Office Specialists, with one of the two earning an expert-level certification. More importantly, cadets voluntarily sought additional learning opportunities, frequently requesting to attend Microsoft Office class to complete assignments and take certification exams without coercion or prompting.

The initiative transformed the classroom culture from one of resistance and disengagement to one characterized by motivation, achievement, and personal ownership of learning.

Faculty, counselors, and leadership consistently recognized and praised the cadets’ renewed enthusiasm.

The sustained increase in participation, certification attainment, and workforce-readiness skills contributed directly to the mission of preparing cadets for future educational and career success.
